Tommy's "Crib"

Recently I helped a client with her new baby boy nursery. I'm thrilled to share the pics today because the talented Photographer Katie Clemenson , shot the photos.
Rooms make a true statement when captured through the lens of a Professional, don't they?
"First child" nurseries are a fun space to create because there is so much joy & love that goes into creating the room.

As soon as you enter "Tommy's room" , you feel calm....I truly feel it's the colors used, the way the light hits the room & the simplicity of furnishings. The wall paint color , behind the crib, was matched at Home Depot, to the blue color of the linens.

Love this blue shade because it's a soft hush of a periwinkle blue.

The crib linens were ordered through Serena & Lily in blue chambray , white linen & flax linen. Also from Serena & Lily , is the plush chambray border rug. All Serena & Lily rugs are beautifully crafted, classic designs , in great colors.
If you've never looked at the Serena & Lily line, take the time to check them out HERE.
New wood floors in a dark finish were also installed.

The white Craftsman-inspired crib , from Pottery Barn, is the Kendall Crib.

Using Serena & Lily khaki solid linen fabric, my workroom created custom curtains to hide the closet area. The curtains were made using 2x fullness, large brushed nickel grommets , hung ceiling mount, on a brushed nickel rod from Bed, Bath & Beyond.
We purposely kept the curtains short, allowing the drawers to be user friendly.
For the changing area, the client is ordering the same curtains with tiebacks. The two panels will each have a tieback using the three solid Serena & Lily fabrics. I'll post new pics once we complete that side of the closet.

The precious solid khaki linen pendant light , hanging above the changing table, was custom created by the talented Annie Bierma.
The client loves the look & now wants to replace the ceiling fan with a larger size pendant, same fabric. However, I'm thinking in our Texas heat, it's best for me to recommend the ceiling fan stays!

The client found the precious antique hutch, repurposed from old doors, at an antique store in Texas.
The wall above the changing area is upholstered in the Serena & Lily khaki linen with Tommy's custom monogram in blue:

The glider from Little Castle, is upholstered in a luxurious fabric called Vera.
Little Castle has a great line of ultra comfy gliders, in so many beautiful fabric choices. I like their styles because you can use their chairs in other rooms, way after the baby has outgrown the nursery.
You can purchase Serena & Lily, as well as Little Castle at Baby Coco
in Austin.

Thanks for stopping by "Tommy's crib" today!
All the best,
