I'm working on a project where the open kitchen/family room have stone floors. Gold lighting may be the trick to warm up the expanse of the room.
Circa Lighting has so many great choices , many created by inspiring Designers. Most of Circa's lighting comes in a variety of metal finishes .

Suzanne Kasler wall sconces:

While at a Herff Christiansen show, I shot a photo of the designer's beautiful powder bathroom with the Greek key sconces (she was waiting on her mirror):
The pictures don't do the sconces justice, but I can assure you they're beautiful and rich in person.
Circa's library sconces are great to suspend over a library bookcase or above the side of a bed for reading:
I love this light to fit within a shelf in a Study or Formal Living Room.
A small easel with a light above:
Great to showcase an interesting book or small framed artwork, as shown here in a different finish:
Their table lamps are gorgeous:
You can always find unique kitchen pendants at Circa as well:
If gold is too shiny for your decor, you can kick it down a notch with an antiqued brass finish :
I personally love to wear a mix of gold and silver jewelry. And I like to mix the two metals in interior design as well. I mixed a silver ceiling here with a gold chandelier.
You can see in this picture below (click to enlarge also), that there are silver light pendants, nickel cabinet hardware & stainless in the kitchen. Adding the touch of gold to the dining room just gives the overall space a warmth.
Since I'm gold diggin' today, thought I'd share some new jewelery pieces I think are warm & beautiful too:
Mallarino earrings available through Net A Porter
And I love gold when it's mixed with turquoise, tres chic! This gorgeous bracelet is from fellow Austinite Kendra Scott's spring collection.
Are you a gold digger too?

Great old Girl Scouts motto:
"Make new friends but keep the old ones; one is silver and the other's gold."
