Merry Christmas!

With all the hustle & bustle, I never managed the time to wish my precious, appreciated readers, a very Merry Christmas! I hope all of you had a blessed Christmas being with those you love, enjoying great food and making sweet memories! Along with my wishes, I thought I'd share the above Christmas pic from our home, just to share another design idea.
Our breakfast room got a dash of sunny yellow this Christmas. A place where I love to share chat time with Steven for those morning coffees/afternoon teas (my Mother-In-Law was English & I learned the true proper way of making tea with her,something I will always treasure). Our family eats our meals at another table where there's more chairs! For Christmas , the breakfast room is my "limoncello room" , a fave Italian market scene with lemons , is the inspiration for the yellow. Design tidbit: Lemon yellow & black will continue to make it's way back into kitchens this year, with that retro feel. Along with that retro vibe, I have the whole pecans sitting on the table with the nutcracker. Something my Mom always had out during the holidays.

Christmas brings the gifts we wish for on our Christmas lists, but the gifts we treasure the most on Christmas Day, are those of the heart. My biggest joy is being with all my children under one roof because we just have Luke, our youngest still living in the house. The 2 older ones are out of the nest now. All our kids were here, including my son's sweet girlfriend for the weekend ,and I was touched that she was spending the holiday with us. Along with a mix of 4 dogs and 3 cats going in and out of the house , we resembled "Christmas Vacation" at times, and I LOVED every treasured moment. My wish for you this holiday season, is that your heart is touched & surrounded by those you love.
