Today, I've also scouted some fun Austin finds. My favorite design jobs have been when a client allows me to shop for pieces in a variety of stores.....I love hunting consignment stores , estate sales, mixed with the newer trendy stores.....the thrill of the hunt and putting it all together is my passion!
I've put together a vignette of gray, white, vivid yellow & a mossy green palette. Love this hip and trendy color scheme.
All the finds today can easily be mixed together in the same room.
The first find , in the pic above, is a VERY COOL Milo Baughman chair. Upholstered in white patent on the front and tufted on the back with white ostrich vinyl.......a great conversation piece.
Another great find is this fab 70's Metropolitan sectional with chrome legs & new gray velvet upholstery fabric. I personally, would put a fun rug underneath this sectional and add modern glass tables.
You can purchase the modern chair and sectional while they last, at
UPTOWN MODERN. Uptown Modern is a fab store that sells vintage furnishings.
Next , I've spotted some rugs from NEST MODERN:
Also thanks to another fave blog, Element Style, I spotted the following cool rugs , that would also be smashing for this vignette. The rugs are designed by the incredibly talented Jill Rosenwald, for Surya, & are just the right graphic punch..... modern & classic. Jill's work has been showcased on "SEX AND THE CITY".
You can find these 3 rugs, and other colors ,online:
CSN RUGS
Home Decorators Collection
Shades of Light
I've also spotted some great lighting & a mirror available at
WILDFLOWER ORGANICS in Austin .

Wildflower Organics has 2 locations within Austin. I love this store for home furnishings and all the GREAT sumptuous bedding & linens they carry.
During my design hunts, I also went to the new opening of WEST ELM downtown in Austin.

2 nesting tables to use together, made of Sungkai wood with a distressed graphite finish....
Great choices below for window treatments, or you can always create a custom order through me.
Below is another great set of panels. African printed sheer window panels. Add another rod behind your first set of solid panels, then put the sheer panels behind for a great layered look. The sheer panels can stay all year long with either the wool or the linen panel as the top one. Or use any of the panels ,solo ,for a simplified look!
Love the pillows that West Elm carries right now....so many varieties...but for today, here's some great choices:
Below, is another pillow choice or you can mix the two. Soft cable knit pillows, cozy for lounging.
The rug in the above photo would be great if you do have those black haired dogs.....love this one too!
Below is another GREAT pillow find. The CABLE KNIT pillow would be great in the middle of a sectional....or great in the middle of your pillows on your bed!
Also, you can find this very cool lamp , the Pebble Table Lamp. Inspired by the smooth, organic shape of a river rock.
Good Valspar paint choices for this whole vignette would be:
Silver Sea
Olive Shale
Spring Moss
Here's a great example of Spring Moss in the recent Idea House in Port Aransas , Texas....it's bold & crisp! Adds a fun punch to the right detail within a graphite room :
And I had to throw in this photo of a floral Duralee fabric you could add to the mix of a graphite vignette :
I hope you've enjoyed my treasure hunt today & that you'll be inspired to try something new & trendy.
